The University of Wisconsin–Madison Dance Department is thrilled to announce its Centennial Celebration which will take place April 14–18, 2027! Save the date and join us to celebrate 100 Years of Dance in Higher Education.
THE CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION
This 5-day festival event will include:
- Concert performances
- Screening of screendance works from alumni, faculty and students
- Talks and panels featuring renowned alumni & dance scholars
- A variety of classes and workshops throughout the festival
- Social gatherings to reconnect and reminisce with your Badger dance community
A YEAR OF CELEBRATION
The festivities won’t be limited to just one week—throughout the 2026–2027 academic year, we’ll celebrate with a series of special events. Inviting alumni to return to campus to:
- Teach master classes
- Set choreography
- Give special lectures and talks to share their scholarship and journeys in the dance field.
This centennial year is a tribute to the past, present, and future of dance at UW–Madison. Whether you’re a current student, alum, faculty member, or friend of the department, we invite you to take part in this extraordinary milestone.
