Guest Artists

The department regularly schedules guest artist residencies with active professional dance artists to complement the class training given by our excellent faculty. These residencies give students prolific performance opportunities to interact with nationally renowned artists and master class instructors including the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, Pilobolus, Meredith Monk, Elizabeth Streb, David Parsons, and Tim Miller.  Madison attracts well-known dance companies such as Eiko & Koma, Joe Goode Performance Group, Kibbutz Dance Company, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Nikolais/Louis Dance Company, Merce Cunningham Dance Company, Feld Ballet/NY, Martha Graham Dance Company, Dance Brigade, and Les Ballets Africains.  Whenever possible, the department presents or co-sponsors artists from these companies while they are performing locally in Madison.

Artist-In-Residence Opportunities
