Audition Information
The audition is a very important part of a dance major's admission decision
- Choose an audition day. Be prepared to submit all application materials by the deadline for your audition day.
Audition days and application deadlines for 2008 Admission

- Apply Online to the University of Wisconsin-Madison's main admissions office.
- Apply to the Dance Program. The application materials include:
- A Dance Program application form (PDF)
Downloadable as a PDF file, or contact the Dance Program Admissions Coordinator for a paper copy.
- Two recommendations (PDF)
Have two different people who can recommend you based on your dance abilities fill out the recommendation form. Downloadable as a PDF file, or contact the Dance Program Admissions Coordinator for a paper copy.

- Complete an audition.
The Dance Program will notify you of your specific audition time at least one week preceding the date you have chosen on your application.
Your audition will consist of studio classes in ballet and modern dance – both an hour long – followed by a short presentation and question and answer period in the theatre. A facilities tour and warm-ups will precede the studio classes. Faculty and staff will be on hand to talk with you and your parents/guardians and answer any questions you may have.
